Create the Meeting Setup
Great job! Now let’s create the Registration Setup. But first, a couple of notes on the meeting setup:
Making Changes to Accounting Information. If you go back and make any changes to the
accounting information on the meeting setup record and have already configured registrations
records or sessions, you will need to click the Update Accounting Information button on the
toolbar. If there are already transactions for this meeting, this button will not work.
Taxable. Tax works differently for meetings more than it does for products. First, the default
tax setting on registrations and sessions comes from the Meeting Setup.
§ Tax on meeting registrations and sessions is based on the address in the Location
record in the registration and/or session setup. This means if the Location record
selected contains state or state/zip-code address data, tax is calculated on the meeting
location record selected in the meeting setup.
§ If the meeting setup is checked as Not Taxable and the registration or session setup is
Taxable, then tax will be calculated.
§ When registrations or sessions are taxed, the invoice Ship To address fields are ignored.
