Set the Stage Let’s explore an example Business Scenario to demonstrate this process: A paid member contacts the association and lets them know that they would like to change their membership benefit during the current renewal year. The membership is paid through the end of the current cycle, so the association doesn’t want to terminate the membership and re-process a new membership resulting in a new invoice. Instead, they would rather the cost of the member benefit change be pro-rated and added as an invoice detail line item on the existing invoice. In this scenario, the association has not yet generated renewals for the upcoming cycle.
