Merging Records 101
The two records will appear side-by-side to
compare each of the fields.
Select the Master Record. This will be the
record that remains active after the merge.
The subordinate record will be deactivated.
Next, go down each of the fields and select
which fields should remain in the active
record. Click OK to complete the merge.
Tip! As a best practice, be sure to review
each of the records and ensure that all of the
data is accurate. The merge utility will also
lend some insight as to whether this is
actually a duplicate record.
