Create Duplicate Detection Rules
Once you have entered the details of the rule,
go ahead and click Save and Close.
Your new rule will appear in the list view. To
publish it, highlight the record (by clicking into
the white space, not the hyperlink) and
selecting Publish (preferably during off hours
when there is not a lot of traffic in the system).
The rule is now actively detecting duplicates
being entered into the system.
Tip! Do a quick test to ensure that it is
functioning correctly by attempting to enter a
record into the system that meets your
specified criteria.
