One USQ Connectivity Projects Teaching Space Upgrade A full year of consultation and design culminated in early 2016 in the completion of the first round of standards based teaching space upgrades in Toowoomba T and Z blocks. As well as providing an improved teaching and learning experience for USQ students and staff, the development of Standards for USQ teaching space AV also articulate the minimum functionality that can be expected in USQ teaching spaces of various types, and will underpin future AV upgrade and refresh activity at USQ. In order to support improved student and staff experience in the upgraded spaces, a comprehensive Teaching Space User Guide including instructional videos, has also been developed outlining 14 • WHAT you need to know to get started in the new spaces, • HOW to use the available software options, • WHY these spaces have been designed to offer high impact learning and teaching opportunities not provided within ‘traditional’ teaching and learning spaces and; • Information about the support available to you. Hands on support for use of the spaces during Orientation Week and the first week of Semester 1 2016, and the collection and feedback of baseline and consultation information were also key outputs of round one upgrades. A survey will be released shortly to collect on-going feedback on and experiences with the upgraded space technology. Feedback can also be provided at any time to Spotlight on ICT.
