Over the years both local schools St Michaels & All Angels and Shelf J&I have supported us not only in terms of promoting the club and providing players but also in the past we have used both schools grounds to play some of our match games. Due to the increased growth of the club we had to stop doing this as the grounds were getting in to a poor state and the school were unable to use it themselves.

Both schools continue to support the club in promoting our philosophy and St Michaels also continue let us use their grounds free of charge each year for our presentation day.

Opportunities for Sponsorship or Investment into Club

Playing and training facilities in the area are lacking not only for the club but for the schools as well. We are nearing capacity and with the introduction of 9 v 9 football by the FA two seasons ago we are at point where we will have to look at the amount of players we can accommodate and although not wanting to do turn them away.

We have now been given the opportunity to lease for 25 years land just of Shelf roundabout. This we would like develop to provide a clubhouse where we can hold our meetings, store equipment and hold events which bring in much needed funds .Outdoor playing areas and indoor training facilities will be created allowing for 90% of the clubs teams to play in one area. These will also provide the correct facilities so we can provide girls football and if required disability football. We would also give both junior schools free use of these facilities especially the indoor sports area as a thank you for their support over the last 22 years. At present they only have the dining halls to do indoor physical education.

As you can see we are a well established organisation that has developed out of the community and embedded its self not only in the local community but also neighbouring communities

The fact that the club has grown (and continues to) for 22 years, running out of our houses and garages shows there is a need for the club.We have been making a differance to the lives of children, youths and young adults of Shelf and the surrounding areas in either teaching them how to work in a team, givining them oppertuinties to be quilified referees or coaches or just how to play and enjoy the game of football. They are no longer just hanging around the local park.
