Katoomba Cascades

The Captain and I had considered taking a long weekend to experience the beauty in the Blue Mountains but were deterred by the cost of accommodation. So one day, when The Captain had ripped apart the sailboat to repair a window in the coach house roof, I decided to take a three-hour round-trip commute from Sydney to visit The Blue Mountains at minimal cost. Of course, my time was limited, but I did manage to hike from Echo Point (looking out onto the famous Three Sisters) to the Katoomba Cascades (pictured here) and was treated to delightful scenery with limited crowds. Both invigorating and relaxing. Mother nature delivers again.
