DISTRIBUTION OPENS
A new OEM Motorcycle Distribution Center has opened in the heart of North
America. Central Powersports Distribution “CPD” is a new company located in
Watertown, SD but with the same great staff that created the growth of Torrot
GasGas in North America up until the acquisition of 60% ownership of GasGas by
Pierer Mobility AG
The staff for GasGas in the USA was a crucial part in the resurgence of GasGas
from 2016-2018 with revenue sales increases by over 200% just prior to the financial
constraints that effective the parent company in 2019. Mark Berg, the past
COO of Torrot GasGas stated “we worked really well as a team for our parent company
Torrot and GasGas. Everyone here in South Dakota really loves what they do,
we have the experience and the knowledge. We want to continue with what we
love and that is to help smaller European OEM’s reach the US market.
CPD www.cpd.direct has reached distribution agreements with multiple different
OEM manufacturers and are excited to start building their brands in the
states. CPD believes that helping multiple noncompeting OEM lines reach the
US market creates better stability while lowering the overhead costs that exists
covering the entire nation with solid representation and support to the dealer
network and end customer. Dealers will be able to work with only one OEM or
multiple OEM’s through one business partner, depending on their store and what
their market desires.
The first OEM that CPD is excited to support is Electric Motion www.electricmotion.fr/en/
from France. Electric Motion has been in the states since 2012 with
a few different distributors and have been working hard to be the number one
selling electric trials bike in the market today. Their new “Epure” and “Escape”
models are so fun, and the different models make it easy for everyone to find a
bike perfect for their budget and capabilities. CPD will be actively looking for
dealers the month of May with first deliveries of the new models sometime in late
summer!
