the weather in.
“The huge success of that was down to Dougie’s massive determination and
skill, but behind that was a group of human beings that we keep bringing together
who are so focussed on the job in hand. We have been very lucky to assemble
that group – technology is great, but you need great people and thankfully we
are very fortunate with the people who work for us either full-time or part-time.
“When a new event breaks cover I know I can pick up the phone to the same
people who we have worked with for a long time. They are paid well because
they do a great job, but it is about loyalty. There are no fixed-hour contracts –
everyone is on a day rate and some of those days might be nine-to-five and some
might be six in the morning until midnight, but they are looked after well and as
a result of that the output is absolutely amazing.”
