A Service to Commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele and the Laying Up of the Old Royal British Legion Stotfold Branch Standard and the Dedication of the New Standard for the Amalgamated Stotfold & Arlesey Branch took place on Friday evening 28th July 2017 at St . Mary , The Virgin Church , Stotfold .
The Service , officiated by the Vicar Rev ’ d Bill Britt , was well attended by Legion Branch Standards and Members and the local Community . They included Eric Robinson , RBL Bedfordshire County Chairman , Brian Saunders , Central Bedfordshire Vice- Chairman and Alan Cooper , Stotfold Mayor . They jointly read out the names from the Stotfold WW1 Roll of Honour during the Service of Commemoration .
