myself, I can understand why Richard Walker went to the trouble of coming up with this new weight, Perch are a stunning fish, a 3lber is a big one and a 4lb+ fish is a real monster. Sadly, Arlesey lake is not what it was, having been filled in to the extent that it unrecognisable as the beautiful water I first fished as a 9 year old kid in the 1970’s.
