On 20th June CBC’s Executive approved for publication the Draft
Local Plan for Central Bedfordshire. Which proposes around 2,000
new homes and 3ha of employment land for Arlesey. If approved this
would be on land situated between Arlesey in the east and the A507
road and Fairfield in the west. The site borders Arlesey Cross in the
north and extends south of Arlesey beyond the Blue Lagoon. To be
clear, this is in addition to the 1400+ new homes coming to Arlesey
from the Arlesey Cross plan.
A public consultation period runs from 4th July 2017 for an 8 week
period. As part of this process CBC will hold a drop-in-session for
members of the public to meet CBC officers and ask questions;
there’s no need to book, just come along, 2pm – 8pm, 26 July, in
Arlesey Village Hall. More details of CBC’s local plan can be found

ATC will be actively engaging in the consultation process [relating
to the local plan] and responding accordingly. We welcome input
from residents.
