Q . Why has the employment area , next to the A507 in the adopted masterplan , been removed ? A . The employment land shown in the masterplan guidance document was one way of providing opportunities for creating employment within the mixed use development - a principle we are committed to . As part of the preparation for an application , we are looking in more detail at how all the main requirements of the development can be delivered , including the technical constraints on the development land by a significant gas main through the eastern part of the site , as well as likely demand for different types of employment . Our current draft proposals incorporate office and retail development within a new local centre . This is still currently being consulted on and we are listening carefully to responses . Q . Why does a small development off the eastern side of House Lane not show up on these plans ? A . The draft plans are being corrected to reflect this recent development . Q . Do you have time-scales on when building work could commence ? A . In our overall programme , which we shared at the public exhibition , we do not anticipate building work starting before Autumn next year , subject to securing the necessary consents . Q . When do you envisage another exhibition of further plans ? A . We will be collating and reviewing all of the responses to the current consultation over the next few weeks before determining the next steps .
