Arlesey Town Youth
16th end of season presentation awards.
On 18th June Arlesey Town Youth held their end of season
presentation awards at The Members Bar at Arlesey Town Football
Club to celebrate the season 2015-2016. The event was well attended
over three sessions with over 140 trophies being awarded to the
players of the club. The club which has been in existence in this guise
since year 2000 has continually provided a footballing facility for the
village and is expanding for this coming season.
Next season we will be playing in three different leagues next
season, Chiltern Sevens (due to one team wanting to continue play on
Saturdays rather than Sundays), the Chiltern League and the Royston
Crow. The club will be playing in age groups 7’s, 9’s, 10’s, 11’s, 12’s, 13’s,
15’s u17/u18’s. We are as looking to expand the football committee,
trying to recruit members, and would like anyone to come forward
to volunteer to join the club. The club is well known for its Halloween
disco, and we would like to increase our events throughout the next
year. We are always looking for local businesses to get involved with us
and we will continue to speak and meet up with any potential sponsors.
And most important for next season like the past one, and the one
before – enjoy playing the game.
The club is always looking for players and parents to join the club
and with most of the age groups now integrated, we can provide a
sporting facility for all of the children within the village that want to
play the game.
It was a great afternoon that went into the evening and the
committee would like to thank Arlesey Town Football for the use
of the venue and running the BBQ, Paul Legate for the disco – all
provided their services for no fee, and especially the parents and
children, as without them, we wouldn’t have a club! Looking forward
to the 2016-2017 season, enjoy the short break between seasons.
