Apprenticeship
Open Day
HGV Driver Apprenticeship
in Henlow on the Henlow 16th April 2016
Over 90% of the UK’s goods are delivered by road. Owning a category C
+ E (Class 1) HGV licence can be a life-long skill which is not only transferrable across the EU but is in almost constant demand and so provides
a stable career and a potential gateway into other areas within a thriving
and increasingly technology-based industry.
In order to plan for future growth and to add to the eight apprentices we
employed and developed during 2015, we are holding an open day on April
16th where we hope to recruit both sexes onto a structured apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship will include both on the job and off-site training,
mentored throughout its three-year duration and will lead to a nationally
recognised qualification. During the apprenticeship, you will not be on
reduced apprenticeship pay but will be paid a normal wage, based on
market rates.
It will include a period in the warehouse, leading to a fork-lift licence,
exposure to the traffic office, commercial awareness and customer care
training; all with a focus on health and safety. From here, it will progress to
the achievement of a category C (Class 2) HGV licence with the ultimate
objective of gaining the C + E licence, for articulated 44 tonne vehicles.
If you are physically fit, motivated to learn and take on responsibility,
customer-focussed and hard-working, please register your attendance
at the open day by e-mailing [email protected]. Places are
restricted so please register as early as possible. Places are restricted so
