Archive Group
We thought that this month we should tell you a little bit about
what we’ve been up to over the past year regarding the
Archives of YOUR Village, Arlesey.
Last January we met with Emma Cook who is the Museum
Development Officer for Bedfordshire and she explained that
we are eligible for various grants from the Heritage Lottery
Fund but until we have a ‘base’ for our Archives we can’t apply
for these. As a result we are hoping that when the new road
is in and the development of Arlesey begins there will be
a space for us.
Meanwhile we will be purchasing a laptop that will have
all our information and pictures on which will be available to
members of the public to check on all aspects of Arlesey life in
the past. We hope to have this up and running by the Summer.
This months pictures are rather random!
