Here is Part 4 of our feature on the brickworks– Stories from the Brickworks The stories on the next four pages are mainly from London Brick Company’s own newsletters Andrew Mortlock has collected a vast archive from these newsletters in conjunction with Hanson Brick Company and has kindly given us access with details and stories from the days when the kilns were alive. Prizes were presented and after an excellent meal had been ‘disposed of’ and the Loyal Toast had been drunk, Mr A.
