news We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Susan Foulkes as Town Clerk and responsible Financial Officer with effect 2nd November 2015. Our Assistant Clerk, Mrs Lesley Rowe stepped in as Acting Town Clerk for the last eight very difficult months. The Council would like to put on record our sincere thanks and commendation to Lesley for all she has done through this difficult period that included a change of council following the election in May. Lesley has demonstrated loyalty and dedication to the task way beyond what could be expected. The recruitment process saw some very strong candidates apply. Mrs Foulkes has both the relevant experience and qualifications for the role and at interview demonstrated the personal attributes that will be necessary, along with experience, to steer and support the Council through what continues to be a testing period. Prior to joining ATC, Susan has served as Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer for Barton-Le-Clay Parish Council. In addition to that experience, Susan’s relevant qualifications include a Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA), Full Membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians and Membership of the Institute of Local Council Management With Susan, Lesley and the rest of the team working together with the new Council, we believe we will be a stronger position than ever before to deliver the support and services that the community of Arlesey deserves.
