It can’t have gone unnoticed that this month there is a General Election.
The 7th of May sees the chance for everyone to vote for their preference to
run our country for the next few years. This year it also means there is the
chance for every eligible voter to put a cross against the person or persons
they would like to run our local authorities.
So on the 7th May 2015 between 7.00am and 10.00pm you will have the
chance to vote on more than one Ballot paper. In fact there will be four Ballot
papers for you to put your X’s on:

inally the fourth ballot paper is a Yes/No vote on Policing in Central
Bedfordshire. This is to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to extra funding for the Police. Our
Council Tax has already been increased to take account of a ‘Yes’ vote but
in the event of a ‘No’ vote will be recalculated for the rest of the year.
