Andrew David Ward
Standing as a candidate for Arlesey
Town Council elections on 7th May 2015
An Arlesey Resident of 14 years along with my wife
Sam, I have daughters at the Arlesey Schools.
Arlesey is a great place to live with a fantastic sense
of community, yet it has been badly let down by its Town
Council. It is time your local council began to work for you and support the
village. If elected my priorities will be:
1. e-establishing a credible Council with purpose
R
– working together for the community of Arlesey
2. Listening to residents and finding out what they want
3. Doing what I can to deliver it.
I was involved in the Voice of Arlesey a group who sought to inform
residents about the massive expansion plans for Arlesey and push for
a Neighbourhood Plan.
I also served briefly on Arlesey Town Council in 2013/14 before resigning
due to a failure by a majority to address concerns about its unsafe practices
and administration. A new council has the opportunity to address these
issues and to put past failures behind it.
My pledge – I will endeavour to:
• Engage with residents
• Represent residents views
• Push for cost effective amenities and services of a high standard
• Promote the best interests of the Village.
If you believe this is what Arlesey needs then please vote for me and fellow
candidates standing under the Independents for Arlesey (IfA) logo.
Independents for Arlesey (IfA) is NOT a political party. Candidates who
stand under the IfA logo all share a common ethos to act with honesty,
transparency and integrity, and in the best interests of Arlesey and its residents, free from any party whip. All IfA candidates are truly independent with
their own manifestos, no affiliation with any political party and all are Arlesey
residents. For more information, visit www.independentsforarlesey.co.uk
