Start of a New Era...
We have planted our Year 5 tree! We really look forward to it growing and
flourishing as the year group flourish over the next seven years they are at
Etonbury. The tree was kindly donated by our neighbours, Arcade Flowers
Nursery, and the plaque was produced on our brand new laser cutter in
Design Tech.”

Operation Christmas Child
This half term we are focusing on Operation Christmas Child. This is a
shoebox appeal that helps the youth in areas where there is a bad quality of
life. The shoebox is designed to put a smile on a child’s face, because the
power of a simple gift, could mean everything to a child in many areas of
Africa, India, China etc. This year it is going to go to Eastern Europe, to help
lift a child’s smile in war affected countries like Ukraine and Russia. More
information is on the leaflets issued and a assembly hosted by Rikki Sarohi
for KS2 and KS3.

Latest production – Cinderella
I think that the Cinderella production is a great opportunity for students at
Etonbury. Mrs Limb has set up ETC – Etonbury Theatre Company where
we are treated as true professionals in our own theatre company and learn
how to produce a play from page to stage. The auditions so far have been
quite challenging and Mrs Limb has really put us through our paces. Over 60
people auditioned for this production, with only 35 places available, I am one
of the lucky ones! I’ve loved it all the way and it has been worth it as I am
now playing the role of Cinderella. I cannot wait to start working with the cast
and technical crew and watch as the production grows and becomes one of
the best Etonbury has done. I can’t wait to see what future productions Mrs
Limb has in store for us!
