expansion at the lakes Henlow Bridge Lakes have been presenting plans locally for Proposals to expand three main areas at the site. Initial plans for the following were going to be presented to Central Bedfordshire Council to two areas that had been granted Planning Permission previously: • Moving and extending the Tea Room/Cafe, Clubhouse and Children’s Play Area to a more central part of the site • Permanent Use of the Site Managers Accommodation and to relocate within the site Owner David Curzon then sought to • Provide Additional parking for visitors and • To introduce Caravan storage to the site 10 | October 2014 | Prior to submitting the plans to CBC, adjacent Council reaction was sought and no negative comments were put forward. The application was then withdrawn as Planning Officers viewed them differently and were going to refuse the application, on the grounds that the building would be obtrusive and unacceptable by way of its size, the manager’s accommodation too big and that the caravan storage could easily be turned into something else not conducive to the site’s leisure use.
