She is one of two Arlesey Scouts selected to represent Arlesey in a Japan next year. There will be 30,000 Scouts gathering from all over the world and the Bedfordshire Scouts & Anglia Guides Contingent will be joined by two Guides from Gibraltar. The theme is “Wa” which means Unity - very fitting in these special wartime anniversary years. All 30,000 Scouts will be taken in groups to Hiroshima. This is an incredible opportunity to meet youngsters from all over the world, work & play together, and will present the young people all manner of  challenges. They have been busy preparing since November.  If any businesses or individuals would like to sponsor Madeleine, an event or offer a raffle prize, we would, of course, be most grateful. Please do ask of you would like some more information.
