Images from the Vintage Excavator Trust at Threlkeld The Vintage Excavator Trust at Threlkeld We heard last year from the the VET about the work on the 306 since it has been at the Mining Museum and the following information was sent by Ian Hartland at the trust. “Work was postponed until early May 2012 due to bad weather. The firebox and boiler were shot-blasted offsite ready for ultrasound testing before reassembly in conjunction with VET boilermaker Mr. Derek Bouch. Other work needed to be done, among other things, is the water tank and derricking mechanism. The museum is slowly working on getting the machine back to its former glory, and weather permitting will have the navvy in good working order in the near future.” • 15 hours of free childcare per week for 3 & 4 year olds can be accessed at this nursery* • 15 hours of free 2 year old funding per week is potentially available* * The above offers are subject to the terms and conditions of Central Beds Council and Acre Wood Day Nursery.
