The London Chest Players After the Second World War the London Chest Players were formed, when the London Chest Hospital took over some of the emergency hutted wards at the Three Counties Hospital. Charles Tolman produced and starred in many of the productions such as “Winter Revue”, “March Madness’ and “Coronation Revue’ in 1953. We have programmes from many of the shows including their pantomimes performed at the hospital. A particular favourite was Aladdin performed twice and both produced by Mr Tolman. One was called “Aladdin (with a difference!)” but what the difference was we are not sure but both were performed in three acts. Below are two images we think are taken of the same version of Aladdin (the straight panto). In the scene on the left the baddy is holding what looks like a pint of beer. The cast photo below, looks to be from the same performance.
