Gregory P. Jones is a singer, songwriter, and an inspiring author who has emerged as one of the best songwriters on the “Southern Soul/Blues Scene." Greg has written songs for Blues royalty such as, Theodis Ealy, Willie Hill, LeBrado Wilson (Beautiful, from his second CD entitled, “FIRE” and “Missing You”, from his first CD entitled, “Missing You”) former member of Jodeci and baby brother of K-C and JoJo, Lacey Reed and Rasheeda, song entitled, “You Got To Lick Fo’ You Stick It”.

His first memory of recording was as a young teen in Memphis, Tennessee with the late great Papa Willie Mitchell and R&B royalty Al Greene.

At the tender age of 19 years old, in Memphis, he head-lined at Club Handy on Beale Street and at time, he was the youngest headliner on Beale Street. Since then, Greg has opened for music royalty such as Marvin Sease, Theodis Ealy, Mel Waiters, Shirley Brown, the late Ronnie Lovejoy and Frank Medenhall, just to name a few.

Throughout the years, Greg has released a number of recordings. His latest release entitled, “What A Woman Want” is undisputedly the best album yet. Now, BGM Music, would like to present to some and introduce to others the man who’s bringing a new style of music to Southern Soul.

Getting up close and on the personal side of Gregory P. Jones, the artist, Greg was born and raised in Natchez, Mississippi where he has had the passion and the love for music since childhood while growing up with a single mother. Writing songs and poetry was his way of displaying his bottled up feeling that he otherwise could not explain. His musical influences consisted of R&B legends, such as, Tyrone Davis, Babyface, Keith Sweat, and Earth, Wind & Fire. Now that you’ve met the man, we hope that you will enjoy his music and his poetry.

Along with his new CD, most recently, Gregory has written a book of poetry entitled, “Things You Should Have Said…But didn’t,” published by, Xlibris and disturbed by, Barnes and Noble book store.
