Grab Attention With Instagram What You Need To Know Many of you have figured out how to use popular social media channels like Facebook and Twitter, but Instagram is new for many health care practi- tioners. Here are some stats to help guide your digital growth! Posts With a Location Get 79% More Engagement Expand your network by geo-tag- ging a location. Anyone who views that location will see your post and are open to discovery. The 80/20 Rule The 80/20 rule states approximately 80% of your content should be focused on educating and engag- ing your audience and only 20% should be self-promotional. Following this rule makes sure that you’re sharing engaging content with your followers. Instagram Users Engage More on Weekdays Tuesday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM are optimal days to post to maximize engagement. It’s also recommended to use the Insta- gram Insights tool to see what times are best for your account. Take the OCA for instance, our followers are active even up to 9:00 PM. 12 70% of Instagram Posts Don’t Get Seen To combat this disheartening Instagram stat, post Instagram stories and share Instagram live videos to get to the top of the feed. More of your followers will see your content and your regular posts will increase in optimization. Photos With Faces Get 38% More Likes Users want to feel connected to your content. What better way to do that than to show your face! Personalize your feed by using yourself as the model and show- case your patients (with their permission) and community. Creating authentic and consistent content that is eye-pleasing is what will draw patients to your social media accounts, and eventually, to your clinic. Build community with your social fans to further expand your digital network, establish yourself as an MSK expert and foster trust. The OCA is on Instagram! Make sure to follow us and join in the conver- sation (which can help you gain new followers and expand your reach). We think we look pretty good; we hope we inspire you!
