BOOK SUMMARY
IS THE
David Platt knows God’s will for your life and writes about it in his
book Radical. As a pastor, David has seen too many Christians
spending too much time wondering what God wants them to do,
when in reality, the answer is already in the Bible. While everyone’s path may look different, the job every Christian is called to
do is spelled out in the last verses of Matthew.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you”
(Matthew 28:19-20a).
Throughout the book, David describes how the idea of the
American Dream has diluted the Gospel, which has, in turn, diluted the Great Commission. The American Dream teaches that,
with enough hard work and determination, anyone can do anything, but satisfaction doesn’t come until only the biggest and
the best surrounds us
