Janet, a Dynamic Women in Missions (DWIM) national
leader in South Asia, works alongside her pastor husband.
Besides preaching at church and providing Train & Multiply
training, she visits families in the villages and shares the
Gospel.
One day, Janet visited a high caste Hindu area with few Christians.
She met a Hindu woman, greeted her, and asked how she was doing.
The woman replied that she was not well. Janet immediately shared
her 30-second testimony, which piqued the Hindu woman’s attention
and resulted in a visit to her home. With curiosity, she asked whether
Janet belonged to Christianity.
Janet responded, “Yes, I am a Christian, and Jesus Christ is my
shepherd.”
The woman then asked, “Why do you come to our village?”
Janet replied, “To meet lovely people like you and help if you need
support.”
Another question followed. “Why do you want to help me? You
don’t even know me.”
Janet responded, “That is what Jesus asks us to do—help others
and love people as I love myself.”
Then, the woman shared her problems with Janet. Her family was
a fairly wealthy family, but her husband had lost his job. Without
income, she was unable to receive medical attention for persistent
stomach pain, and her children had to drop out of school.
Janet then touched the woman’s stomach and, in the powerful
name of Jesus, prayed for her family and her healing. After prayer,
