YOPRO HOSTS ITS 3RD ANNUAL MENTORING YOPROS (M.Y.) CONFERENCE, THEMED “USING FAILURE TOWARDS SUCCESS”.
YoPro Trinidad and Tobago approaches the development of youth and young professionals
in three distinct ways. The first way YoPro achieves this is by providing a forum for youth
and young professionals to access and engage seasoned and experienced professionals,
while interacting with a particular interest like sushi. The second way YoPro promotes
development, is by providing opportunities, including academic, entrepreneurial and
career-wise at its annual Conferences, JunCon and Mentoring Yopros (M.Y.) Conference
and the final way, is by providing life-skills training.

YoPro’s team will be working with graduating students to introduce them to the
workforce, and young professionals to better prepare them to advance in it. Attendees
will be better prepared for the job market, skilled to engage, network and interact and
acquire expertise to found and start business the right way. Included in the information
provided will be networking with industry icons, peer-to-peer bonding and prizes for
engagement, participation and performance at the event.

With over 3,000 followers, YoPro’s October event on life-skills training, thinking positively
and looking at a different angle when saying or using failure, or as YoPro terms it, “the
F Word”. The YoPro team have recruited the “movers and shakers” within a variety of
industries to deliver presentations to attendees. Leaders and influencers, including CEOs
such as, Adrian Theodore, Nicole Green of Dream Life Distributors, Stephanie Pemberton
of Planting Seeds and Vanessa Moses of Freezee Bevrages, to name a few. Other industry
icons in attendance include Judy McSween, Racquel Moses, Sandra Carr, UTT Fashion
Department Chair, Lisa Ghany, Celebrity Event Planner; Angela Lee Loy, Chairman of
Aegis Business Solutions Ltd; Karen Trim of Eve Anderson Recruitment Ltd; Kerwyn
Valley, Investor and CEO of KCL Capital Market Brokers Ltd, and Maria Daniel of Ernst
and Young. Together, they all come together to educate, inspire and mentor youth and
young professionals in Trinidad and Tobago.
