BRASS 2 THE WORLD
CELEBRATES ONE
JUBILANT YEAR
Monday 17th July 2017 brought together music lovers,
including family and friends,
who turned up to help celebrate the first year of the
band officially known as ‘Brass 2 The World’.
"It's been a challenging and exciting year for us” says
band manager, Burt Marcellin.
The response to our live brass band has simply blown
us away! Over the past year we have been fortunate to
partner with K2K Alliance for Carnival 2017 and provid-
ed live music for masquerades and patrons alike. It was
a very successful venture which opened up internation-
al doors for us.
Riding the success of Carnival we were sought out by
the Montreal Carnival Foundation to play in some of
their major Carnival events in Canada and the USA. Our
first performance was hosted by The Montreal Carnival
Foundation - ‘ We Jammin Still’. The promotion for this
event was featured on
radio programmes in Canada in included interviews
with Brass 2 The World. It was a "fantastic" opportuni-
ty to get the rhythm of Trinidad and Tobago music out
there, said Marcellin. One of the main features of the
band is a live four-piece horn section accompanied by
a dynamic frontline consisting of top notch performers
namely Russel Cadogan , Snakey, Ejay and Keisha Stew-
art. The audience response was simply incredible.
On achieving ‘Best Playing Brass Band’ on the Road
2K17- BRASS 2 THE WORLD (B2W) an accolayde be-
stowed on us by the Downtown Carnival Committee,
gave us the opportunity to partner with the Montreal
Carnival and Festivals Committee in having us perform
at their Carifiesta 2017, in Canada.
Just back from that successful tour, the Band is set to
launch its Christmas to Carnival Season Campaign
at Club Fuzion, Cascadia Hotel on August 18th from
6.00pm to 11.00pm, entitled #KICKDOWN 2018, where
we will host Promoters, Media and our Fans.
The Band also launched their New Release in Montreal
called ‘Caribbean Vibrations’ and is set and ready to in-
troduce it to our shores and the rest of the Caribbean.
Soon to be Releases from our Dynamic Frontline also to
follow.
