A Note from Our COO
We’re celebrating an exciting milestone for HealthStream, our customers, and
especially the patients they serve. We have hit 3 million online completions using
HeartCode ® . In partnership with experts at the American Heart Association and
Laerdal Medical, this program as well as Resuscitation Quality Improvement ® (RQI),
were developed to educate, train, and promote high-quality CPR.
These solutions embody the HealthStream Vision—To improve the quality of
healthcare by assessing and developing the people who deliver care. But the truth
is, together, we have a lot of room to grow. It’s estimated that only 23% of adult
patients will survive in-hospital sudden cardiac arrest; and the survival rate drops to
around 10% outside of a hospital. The thought of a friend or family member being
part of that low percentage is personal and drives us to ensure several more million
will commit to improve this statistic using our blended learning solutions that adhere
to the latest AHA Guidelines.
