”Jag hade två ambitioner när jag konstruerade Château”, säger formgivaren Bertil Vallien.
”För det första ville jag göra ett glas som en maskin inte kunde göra, som du kunde se var
handgjorda. Optiken i kupan och det tunna glaset. Min andra ambition var att hålla designen
enkel men elegant.”
“I had two ambitions when I designed Château,” says designer Bertil Vallien. “Firstly, I wanted to do a
glass that a machine couldn’t make, one you could see was handmade. The optics of the bowl and the
slim, drawn stem saw to that. My second ambition was to keep the design simple but elegant. That’s
how Château became a glass that’s handsome as well as functional, a glass whose optics enhance the
colour and lustre of the bowl and make its contents even more inviting.”
