HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO TO SUPPORT A CAUSE CLOSE TO YOUR HEART ?
When I was eight years old , I decided to participate in the World Vision 40 Hour Famine because the images of the starving kids I saw on TV resonated with me . When I was an infant in Vietnam , I too was undernourished , so I felt a real kinship with these poor wide-eyed waifs that were depicted on the telly . Every year , for the following ten , I busted out the barley sugars and raised money for the kids I never knew , but felt like I did .

As an adult , I decided to participate in the Shave for a Cure , so twice I shaved off my hair in a bid to boost awareness of and raise money for cancer research . I felt compelled to do this because of all the lives around me that were being touched by cancer .
