Not cheap but a fun very interactive day out to find out how chocolate is made travelling through 14 different themed zones. Also a great outdoor play area.

Avoncroft – Near Bromsgrove

Near Bromsgrove. Lots of buildings to explore, lose the bigger ones in the maze of the phone boxes and they often have special events including period things such as Jousting.

Think tank – Central Birmingham

Easy to get to from Moor Street Station. A great water play area for little ones and some nice make believe play areas too.

£6 for adults and £3 for Children. Mostly vintage buses and milk float but there is a miniature steam railway which runs on event days – check their calendar for more information.

The worlds largest collection of British motor bikes to explore.

Winter Bourne House & Garden, Birmingham

Restored period house and gardens to explore. £6 for adults and under 5s are free.
