Leasowes Nature Reserve, Halesowen

Take a walk through the woods, climb the hill to see great views over Halesowen and visit the pool to see if you can see the Heron.

Wrens Nest Hill Nature Reserve - Dudley

Hunt for fossils at the important geological site. Some flat paths & a few steep slopes depending which paths you follow. No visitor centre or toilets

RSPB Sandwell - £3 to park, entrance is free

In the corner of Sandwell Valley park theres a nature reserve where you can spot a wide range of birds. Visitor centre open Weds-Sun. They run a Baby Birds parent & toddler group on a Wednesday and offer self led family activities to borrow.

Nature reserve in north Worcestershire – wild woodland to explore at your own pace

Worcester Woods Country Park - Worcester

Just off the M5 J6 is this large country park with visitor centre and adventure playground. A great place to meet part way with family or friends travelling up from the south west. Theres a good play area, excellent café as well as walks through the woods.

Visit a Garden Centre

Great places to take your little ones for a free day out. Flowers and often animals to look at and usually have outdoor/indoor play areas and family friendly cafes.

Webbs of Wytchbold

Have display gardens including a wild meadow style nature garden to explore featuring a hobbit hole to play in. There are also indoor and an outdoor play area and a Hobbycraft store

Theres also Barnett Hill Garden Centre which has a good play area and regular holiday activities.
