Toastmasters International
Tri-County Toastmasters is a local club of Toastmasters
International, whose mission is to empower individuals to become
more effective communicators and leaders. In pursuit of that
mission, the education program and projects have recently been
redesigned to provide a more individualized experience with real-
world, transferable skills. All materials and much of the learning are
now digital and online with optional print materials available.
Anyone who is interested may attend a meeting and will find
a positive, supportive learning environment. Interested members
have the opportunity to pursue district leadership and to compete
in a variety of speech contests. Proven developmental techniques
ensure that even the most inexperienced beginner can be
successful.
Tri-County Toastmasters started in Delano in 1971, rechartered
in 1982, and eventually moved to Watertown. The club meets at
6:45 a.m. every Friday at Watertown City Hall. All adults age 18 and
older are eligible for membership and those under 18 are welcome
to participate in learning better communication and leadership
skills. Tri-County has about 20 members.
Our members would love to help you meet your communication
