We, the undersigned natural persons above the age of twenty-one
(21) years, all of whom are citizens and residents of the State of
Texas, acting as Incorporators or a corporation under the Texas
Non-Profit Corporation Act, do hereby adopt the following
Articles of Incorporation for such corporation:
ARTICLE I
The name of the corporation is THE AMERICAN MINIATURE
HORSE ASSOCIATION, INC.
ARTICLE II
(A) The corporation is a NON-PROFIT CORPORATION.
(B) The corporation shall be organized and operated exclusively
for educational, scientific, and animal husbandry purpo ses.
No part of its net earnings shall insure to the benefit of
any officer, director, or private individual, nor shall it ever
declare or make to any of such persons any dividend or other
distribution.
(C)
Nothing herein contained shall prevent the payment
of reasonable compensation for services rendered or
the reimbursement of reasonable expenses incurred in
connection with the corporation’s affairs.
ARTICLE III
The period of the duration of the corporation is PERPETUAL.
ARTICLE IV
The purpose for which this corporation is formed are exclusively
educational, scientific, and animal husbandry, defined as follows:
(A)
Aid and encourage the breeding, exhibiting, use and
perpetuation of Miniature Horses; promote and coordinate
Miniature Horse show activities; promote and encourage
exhibiting of Miniature Horses in open classes; coordinate
and cooperate with the US Equestrian Federation in
providing qualified judges for Miniature Horse shows;
and in devising and adopting Miniature Horse show rules,
regulations and standards.
(B)
Cooperate with other organizations
interest in Miniature Horses.

(C) Formulate publicity and educational programs and other
activities in the interest of Miniature Horse owners,
Miniature Horse associations, clubs, and enthusiasts, for
the purpose of stimulating popular interest in the Miniature
Horse.
