GR-025 APPROVAL FOR AMHA SHOWS
Organizations or individuals wishing to stage or sponsor an
approved AMHA show (each judge is considered a separate show
for the purpose of accruing/accumulating points) must complete
the following procedures to obtain approval if their results are to
be recognized by the AMHA. Approval must be obtained every
year and does not carry over from year to year. Effective January
1, 1996, all judges of AMHA approved shows shall be AMHA
approved judges, in good standing, and carded as such.

The American Miniature Horse Association Show Manager’s
manual is available to all recognized show managers and
sanctioned clubs. A list of all AMHA Approved and Senior Judges
will be sent with each Show Manager’s Manual or will be available
upon request from Show Managers or an AMHA sanctioned club.

SHOW RULES
A. To reserve a show date, the certified Show Manager/Club
President must submit to the AMHA office, postmarked
at least 60 days prior to the first proposed show date, an
Application for Reservation of Date which shall be correctly
and entirely completed in all details. Forms are available
from the AMHA office. Effective 1997,it is mandatory all
show managers must successfully complete a show manager’s
test each year before their Show Manager certifications and
show approvals are granted, except as otherwise approved by
the office.

B. To obtain approval, the certified Show Manager seeking
approval must submit to the AMHA office, postmarked at
least 45 days prior to the first show date, an Application for
Approval which shall be correctly and entirely completed
in all details, appropriate show approval fee/per judge (see
Fee Schedule), and a complete typed premium list showing
all classes, judges’ names, show dates and times, and any
instructions to exhibitors. AMHA approval must be
received before the show premium is printed. Disregarding
this process will result in a $50 fee. Application forms
are available from the AMHA office and on the AMHA
Website.

C. To be approved a show must offer these MINIMUM classes:
Halter Classes: (See CL-015 (A), (B), & (C) for divisions)
7 junior mare classes
7 junior stallion classes
2 junior gelding classes
4 senior mare classes
4 senior stallion classes
3 senior gelding classes
