GR-010 ELIGIBILITY AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF EXHIBITORS, HANDLERS, AND DRIVERS FOR EXHIBITION IN AMHA- APPROVED SHOWS A. All AMHA shows are open to any horses registered with AMHA whose exhibitor is able to prove valid registration. B. To enter an AMHA approved show, the exhibitor must use the complete name and number of the animal as it is shown on the horse’s registration certificate. No substitutions or changes are acceptable. Horses shown under false identity will be automatically and immediately disqualified by the show management. The protest fee is waived. Entry forms must be completely filled out at all shows and must not be accepted by the show management until all information has been listed, copies of the registration papers received, and the entry blank signed by the exhibitor. Amateur and Youth exhibitors will be required to submit a copy of their current Amateur or Youth cards with horse show entries. Gelded status must be reflected on registration certificate for horse to be shown in any AMHA class. (Amended 06-03, effective 01-04) (Amended 02-04, effective 01-05) SHOW RULES C. Any person who makes payment with a non-negotiable check or money order or refuses to pay an entry fee, stall fee, or any other fees or charges in connection with participation in any AMHA approved show, may be subject to disciplinary action pursuant to the rules of the Association. The offender is ineligible to show at any AMHA Show until such indebtedness is settled. (Amended 02-04, effective 01-05) D. Horses may be shown if the exhibitor furnishes proof that the registration application has been received in the AMHA office with all requirements met prior to the show. Show chairman shall accept as proof only a signed statement from the AMHA office or oral verification from the AMHA office to show chairman that the horse can be shown. E. Owners, trainers, agents, and exhibitors must be aware of current AMHA show rules and if in doubt receive clarification from the Show Rules Committee. F. No horse may be shown before a judge that has been sold by said Judge or by his/her employer within a period of 90 days prior to the show. G. No Judge’s trainer nor any of the judge’s trainer’s clients may compete as exhibitors in any show unless the relationship has been terminated at least 90 days prior to the show. H. No clients of a member of the judge’s family or business clients of a judge may compete as an exhibitor in a show 80
