THE AMERICAN MINIATURE
HORSE ASSOCIATION
People’s perception is all important. How you present your horses
and how the public perceives they are being trained, shown, and
cared for will ultimately determine who controls your industry.
NOTE: Each section of the Show Rules has been given the
following prefix codes:
GR - GENERAL RULES
LO - LICENSED OFFICIALS
CL - CLASSES
YD - YOUTH DIVISION
AM - AMATEUR DIVISION
SN - SPECIAL NEEDS DIVISION
PA - POINTS, AWARDS, AND TITLES
WS - WORLD SHOW
Paragraphs under the major rules have been done in “outline
format,” with each paragraph under a rule beginning with the
letter “A”, “B”, etc.

These show rules may be amended at any Annual Meeting of the
Association as per Article XIV of the Bylaws.

SHOW RULES
The Show Rules Committee shall consist of eleven (11) Regular
members, five (5) members who have been retained from the
previous three years from which a chairman shall be selected by
those remaining members. The six (6) newly elected members
may or may not be previous members. The nominations for
these remaining six (6) positions will be made and elected by
the membership present at the Annual Meeting. Committee
members must attend the Show Rules Committee meeting
held at the Annual Convention, mid-year Board Meeting, and
the World Championship Show in order to be eligible for the
committee the next year. Failure to attend both the mid-year
workshop meeting and the World Championship Show may
result in dismissal. If a vacancy arises, the committee will fill
the vacancy by appointment at the discretion of the committee.
