GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE AMERICAN MINIATURE HORSE ASSOCIATION, INC. MEMBERSHIP 100 MEMBERSHIP Membership in the Association shall be as stated in Article IV of the Bylaws of The American Miniature Horse Association, Inc. GENERAL PRIVILEGES AND REQUIREMENTS 101A Right to Vote The right to vote and hold office shall be by class of membership held. 102 EMPLOYEE LIMITATIONS All individuals employed by the Association (and their immediate families) shall not be allowed to train or show, act as an agent for buying or selling, or own (either individually or in partnerships) any registered American Miniature Horse. (Amended 12-09, effective 01-10) 103 OFFICER LIMITATIONS No Officer or Director of the Association shall bring any suit or action against the Association while in office. Any Officer or Director of the Association who brings any suit or action against the Association will immediately be removed from office. LITIGATION 110 OBLIGATION OF COST The Association has adopted the following provision for the mutual benefit of members and with the intention of reducing the Association’s litigation expenses, which expenses would ultimately be borne by members participating in Association activities. Every member, by joining the Association, filing a registration application or other documents with the Association, or participating in Association-approved events, does thereby agree as follows: 1.  If unsuccessful in an attempt to overturn Association decisions, action, rules or regulations, to reimburse the Association for its reasonable attorney’s fees, court costs and other expenses in defense of such suit. 39 RULES & REGULATIONS 101 RIGHTS OF MEMBERS While in good standing, all members shall have equal rights, interest and responsibilities with respect to the Association and its property; shall obey and be bound by all Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Association, and decisions or actions of the Board of Directors or Hearing Board; shall have the right to attend any membership meeting; shall have floor privileges; and shall have the right to hold committee assignments, except as otherwise limited.
