ARTICLE XIV - HORSE SHOWS The Annual Meeting shall ratify the criteria for approving and the policies for approved American Miniature Horse Shows, and shall approve show rules, of which shall not be made a part of the Bylaws, but shall be published in the Official Rule Book of The American Miniature Horse Association, Inc. When deemed necessary, the Board of Directors shall exercise their power, upon any of the above rules and policies, as per Article V, Section 3 (A). ARTICLE XV - GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS The Annual Meeting shall approve general rules and regulations, which shall govern the members and the Association, on all matters not contained in these Bylaws, but shall be published in the Official Rule Book of The American Miniature Horse Association, Inc. When deemed necessary, the Board of Directors shall exercise their power, upon any of the above rules and regulations, as per Article V, Section 3A. ARTICLE XVI - AMENDMENT OF RULES All AMHA rules and regulations, including but not limited to general, show, amateur, youth activities, may be amended by a majority vote of the registered Regular Members in good standing present and voting at the Annual Meeting but only after specific proposal or amendment shall have met the criteria of prior notice and approval by the appropriate standing committee(s), and majority vote of the Board of Directors. (Amended 02-11, effective 01-12) (A) Requirement of prior notice: ‑1. Anyone submitting an AMHA Rule Change Proposal must be a current AMHA member in good standing for the proposal to be forwarded on to the proper committee. AMHA Staff may submit Rule Change Proposals. To be eligible for consideration by a standing committee a rule change proposal or amendment must be presented in writing and signed by the originator prior to the adjournment of the AMHA National Convention. All proposed Show Rule amendments must be presented with five (5) original co-signatures of AMHA members in good standing. All proposed amendments will be reviewed by staff, Executive Director (if applies), and then passed on with an impact statement to the appropriate committee(s) for evaluation. The affected committees will then review the proposed changes and word them in the appropriate legal terms. The committees cannot change the intent of the rule as it was received from its original source. The change will then be presented for consideration on the agenda of the appropriate committee at the 31 BYLAWS The World Championship Show shall be held annually in the Central (Regions 6, 7, 12, 13) section of North America. The World Championship Show site shall be selected based upon criteria including but not limited to enclosed and covered areas; enclosed stalls sufficient in number to meet the current needs of the Association; close proximity of hotels, restaurants, availability, cost, quality, features, etc.
