WS-015 JUDGES FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW A. Number of Judges  The number of judges required to judge the World Championship Show shall be two (2) teams of five (5) separate judges each. One team will judge all open classes and all performance classes other than youth and amateur. Team 2 will judge all youth and amateur classes. Specialty classes will be divided between the two (2) teams. B. Selection of Judges The Licensed Officials Committee is to furnish a list of thirty (30) names of judges to the AMHA office prior to the mid-summer Board of Directors Meeting of each year. The AMHA office is to hire ten (10) judges. These judges are to be AMHA-carded. (Amended 12-6-03, effective 01-04) 1. World Championship Show judges shall not have judged an AMHA-approved show for 60 days prior to the World Championship Show. 2. World Championship Show judges shall be announced by January 1 of each show year, or as soon as all contracts are finalized. 3. Judges teams shall be announced the first day of the World Championship Show. 4. (See LO-039) SHOW RULES WS-016 CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW JUDGES A. Selection of Judges for Championship Shows 1. Championship judges will be hired by the AMHA office. 2. Each Championship judging team will consist of three (3) judges. WS-020 OFFICIALS A. Show Manager  The World Championship and Championship Show Manager must be a professional show manager to be hired by the Board of Directors. The liaison between show manager and the AMHA will be the AMHA office. The Show Manager must have no conflict of interest. Upon direction of the Board of Directors, the AMHA office may be required to function in the capacity of Show Manager. B. Stewards and other employees to be hired or supplied by the Show Manager/AMHA office and must not have a conflict of interest. (Refer to LO-041) WS-025 JUDGING SYSTEM A. The World Championship Show will have five (5) judges who will pick the Top Ten horses in halter classes, using a five (5) judge system wherein both the high and low scores are deleted and the remaining three (3) scores will determine the Top Ten.
