4. Amateur - limited to amateur exhibitors only (see AM010 for requirements) 5. Ladies - limited to ladies 19 and older 6. Gentlemen - limited to gentlemen 19 and older 7. Maiden - limited to horse not having won one first place ribbon in that particular AMHA class. 8. Pleasure Driving may be offered also for: a. Mares to drive b. Stallions to drive c. Geldings to drive C. In performance, a single horse can be exhibited by only a single handler per class. D. No baiting of performance horses is allowed - Hunter, Jumper, Liberty, Obstacle. Baiting in these classes is a disqualification. E. Call judges are required to use a whistle to notify exhibitors of elimination from classes in Halter Obstacle, Obstacle Driving, Hunter, Jumper and Liberty. F.  Judge(s) shall walk Hunter/Jumper and Halter/Driving Obstacle course with designer and exhibitors. Refer to CL060 and CL-065. G. Front leg wraps and/or boots are permitted in jumping only. H. In Halter Obstacle, Hunters, Jumpers and all Showmanship classes, chains may be a part of the lead on the halter but the chain portion cannot be placed in the horse’s mouth or over the horse’s nose. Violation of this rule will cause disqualification for the class. (Amended 02-21-02, effective 01-03) I. Any exhibitor, trainer of exhibitor, or family member of exhibitor may not be responsible for design of the course. (Amended 02-09, effective 01-10) CL-030 DRIVING CLASS GENERAL RULES A. Horses to enter ring at a trot. Horses must be serviceably sound and all driving horses must be three (3) years or older. Horses showing evidence of labored breathing, wheezing or “roaring”, at the discretion of the judge the horse may be penalized. (Amended 2-13, effective 1-14) 107 SHOW RULES J. Score sheets are available on the AMHA website for use in judging certain performance classes. These sheets are not mandatory, they are available and suggested for use by the Judges when judging AMHA approved classes. These score sheets outline suggested scoring rules, penalties, faults, plusses, etc. that may be used for scoring AMHA classes in addition to what is outlined in the AMHA Rulebook.
