Colourful, visually engaging and with many pages with little writing, it is meant for the smallest of the home's readers (more like listeners, though perhaps in a couple of years they'll read it themselves). Locally produced, it is heartening to see a self-publisher with the courage to turn their stories into something enduring for the youngest among us. And the message is great too – Fresja (pronounced 'Fresha') is a caterpillar who, in the course of the book, grows up to become a butterfly. Obviously for early and pre-readers, this could turn out to be one of the books that the kids or grandkids grow up to remember fondly in association with the best times of their early lives.
