Get excited for… The rebooted Hellboy We’re feeling hot, hot, hot about Big Red’s return When Hellboy creator Mike Mignola announced a Big Red reboot minus Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman, fans were outraged. ‘If it ain’t broke, why fix it?’ they argued. And del Toro’s Hellboy movies certainly weren’t broke. In fact, they were funny and cool with Perlman perfectly cast as the titular, kitten-loving demon. Time is a great healer, however, and with more than a year having passed since Mignola’s bombshell, e ven the most loyal devotees now seem to be looking forward to seeing the Great Beast in cinemas again. And they really should be excited... Director Neil Marshall is an influential name in the horror genre, while Milla Jovovich as Nimue the Blood Queen is a tasty prospect. Most enticing of all, though, is David Harbour as Hellboy. With Perlman himself giving the Stranger Things actor the thumbs up, this do-over looks hellishly good.
