however, it was very much a team effort with all
four members contributing to the band’s unique
sound. Bohemian Rhapsody acknowledges
this, with May, Taylor and bass guitarist John
Deacon dynamically portrayed by Gwilym Lee,
Ben Hardy and Joseph Mazzello respectively.
“It’s about collaboration. It’s a celebration,”
said Bryan Singer of the film’s essence.
Ultimately though, this is Freddie’s show
and Malek’s resemblance to Mercury, in
both appearance and mannerisms, is
uncanny. “When you’re able to open
your eyes and see a different person
staring back at you in the mirror,
it’s a very affirming moment,” the
actor told EW.com recently.
