tense and bloody affairs, all
extremely worthy of your time.

machinations that led to the
US government sanctioning
the event – especially in these
increasingly troubled times –
plus the presence of Oscar-
winner Marisa Tomei (as the
doctor who comes up with
the crazy concept), adds a
layer of intrigue and acting
clout to proceedings.
It’s not all politics and no
murder, though. This powerful
prequel has plenty of the latter,
too, as a test area’s inhabitants
find themselves facing this
devil’s choice for the very first
time. The result is 100 minutes
where you absolutely can’t take
your eyes off the screen.
