Inside view Tell us about your job... I am the Brand Experience Intern. My role mainly revolves around the support of ODEON Luxe cinemas. Every time one of our cinemas gets built or renovated, I assist with all the marketing communications. Momoa with his Aquaman co-star Amber Heard Get excited for… Jason Momoa’s Aquaman The Dweller in the Depths is getting his own big-screen DC adventure and we can’t wait to take the plunge... Prior to Justice League’s release, much of the hype surrounding the film was aimed in Ezra Miller’s direction. And his Flash was awesome. But you know who was even more awesome? Jason Momoa as Aquaman. Which is why we’re so psyched that The Marine Marvel is getting his own solo adventure. Diving into cinemas this December, the film sees Arthur Curry (as Aquaman’s alter-ego is known) caught between a coral reef and a hard place when the Atlanteans revolt against humanity. Can our gilled god (who’s part-human, part-Atlantean) settle the dispute without too much collateral damage? Historically, Aquaman has been a whipping boy for DC comics fans, but that changed the moment Momoa was cast. For one thing, the Hawaiian actor, whose previous roles include Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, is 6ft 3in – would you mess with him? With Justice League not quite the commercial or critical hit DC was hoping for, there’s a lot resting on Momoa’s broad shoulders. But from what we’ve seen of his charismatic turn so far, DC needn’t worry – Aquaman is destined to make a massive splash. I saw it at the ODEON Luxe 3D IMAX screen at Swiss Cottage. I highly recommend it for the sequel. What’s your must-see list like right now? Uncle Drew, it’s going to be hilarious.
